The purpose of this app is not to be super educational. It's trying to be different and really exciting. However, I'd like to think it has educational elements as well. While it doesn't teach math or reading, it does have some counting, lots of logical reasoning and problem solving, a little bit of personal hygiene and we hope it shows an example of empathy as well when treating the sick monsters.

There are voice over instructions in the app. We tried to to give kids just enough instructions to be able to figure out what to do in the app. The app does not explain everything right away. It gives short instructions to help kids go on, but at the same time it tries to keep a sense of mystery and leaves things to be discovered by playing. Also the instructions are always repeated when the app notices that kids are not making any progress.

But naturally it cannot work for every child and for all ages. Every child is different. I did the best I could keeping in mind the target audience. The app was tested with year old kids who received it really well. This is a unique and creative series of mini games that my children thoroughly enjoyed playing. I appreciated the not too spooky Halloween theme, which is just right for young children.

My daughter especially liked the doctor level. The narrator gives just the right amount of instructions to understand the goal of each level without too many specifics, making sure my kids had to puzzle it out, and search for the solutions sometimes.
